I’m Jacob Brodeur, a Humanities, Computing, and Design student at RIT. I’m building toward a master’s degree in urban planning, with a focus on the public systems, spaces, and experiences that shape everyday life.

My interests in graphic design, web development, public transit, and urbanism inform how I think about a city at every scale. Through coursework in Urban Studies and my planned path toward a master’s degree in urban planning, I want to help create more connected, accessible, and people-centered places.

At RIT, I serve as the Parking, Transportation, and Outdoor Spaces Committee Chair for Student Government, helping advocate for stronger campus mobility and public-space experiences. I’m also the Public Relations Officer for the Outing Club, where I support a community built around weekly hikes and exploring the greater Rochester region.

Outside the classroom and campus leadership, I enjoy board games, biking rail trails, and time outdoors. As an Eagle Scout, I led a project to restore a memorial garden at a nature sanctuary, redesigning the space around its central stone and building a custom bench for reflection.
